Scientist in Residence
Breanna holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Arizona and is completing her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University, where her doctoral research focused on cardiac muscle tissue engineering. She has worked in tissue engineering research for over 7 years, focused initially on biomedical applications for disease modeling. Growing alarm over the environmental crisis and food insecurity lead her to the alternative protein field, where she hopes to bring knowledge from the biomedical space into the sustainable food sector. In her free time, Breanna is an avid gardener, with over 50 houseplants and a small urban garden.
